The new 66cm and 74cm AL 3BS fuselages replace our previous carbon 68 and 78cm options. By switching to aluminum construction, we were able to reduce the cross section and drag, while increasing strength with only a 2.5% weight increase. These fuselages also have a recess for the stabilizer and cut-outs for the front wing mount, reducing weight and improving hydrodynamics.
