Our 60cm Alu 3BS fuselage received great feedback, so we decided to extend those improvements to our longer fuselages. The new 66cm and 74cm AL 3BS fuselages replace our previous carbon 68 and 78cm options. By switching to aluminum construction, we were able to reduce the cross section and drag, while increasing strength with only a 2.5% weight increase. These fuselages also have a recess for the stabilizer and cut-outs for the front wing mount, reducing weight and improving hydrodynamics. While they may require more care and cleaning, we believe the performance gains are worth it!
