The Dominator II is an updated version I’m genuinely excited about. This model has been a key part of my quiver and the Firewire lineup since 2008. The DM II offers a fresh take on the original, with design tweaks that improve its versatility and overall performance. Notably, the tail shape has changed from round to squash, and the rails are now more refined for better control. While the front foot concave remains the same, the last 5 inches feature a subtle double-barrel and V pattern. Although I usually prefer round tails for smooth rail-to-rail transitions and turning, the squash tail delivers that same smoothness plus added release in turns.

HELIUM CORE TECHNOLOGY:

A stringerless EPS core with flex controlled at the rails made from Paulownia and Balsa wood - this construction is light and lively underfoot, and excellent at generating speed in everyday waves.
