Firewire Machado Seaside Pad

An updated version of the Machado Go Pad that is narrower and shorter by ¼”, this flat traction pad is now built in only 3 pieces with a 27mm kick and a diamond groove pattern for extra grip.

MATERIALS

Inspired by our ongoing commitment to sustainability, Firewire Surfboards has collaborated with BLOOM Foam to create this more sustainable traction pad.

BLOOM is a high-performance flexible foam made with algae harvested from freshwater sources at risk of toxic algal bloom.

The BLOOM Foam process:

• Creates a product with increased durability, improved shock absorption, and reduced weight when compared to conventional foams.
• Helps improve the quality of waterways by removing excess algae that harms plants, animals, and people who rely on the ecosystem for survival.
• Recirculates fresh water back into natural habitats.
• Aids CO2 capture and sequestration by rebalancing the natural ecology, and reducing our dependence on non-renewable oil.
